Solar Eclipse Flow

Many eclipse folktales around the world tell the story of an animal eating the sun or moon, devouring the light and leaving humanity in darkness. The Ancient Greeks beleived that the eclipse was an abandonment, and that is where we get the word eclipse-- from the Greek ek ‘out’ + leipein ‘to leave.’ As we gather on our mats to salute the sun in it's partial state, we remind ourselves that an abandonment is simply a time of renewal and an opportunity for new growth. 

Each ticket includes a pair of solar eclipse viewing glasses (that meet international safety standards) for you to keep! The solar eclipse should be partially visible in San Diego for around an hour, depending on weather conditions. 

This session is facilitated by Randall, a certified yoga instructor and local community college professor who holds a PhD in mythology and depth psychology. Find us at Bird Park by entering on 28th and Thorn, near the swings.

We bring: the tea, hot water, and conversation.

You bring: your cup, yoga mat, and journal.

Level 1- Gentle Hatha flow

Appropriate for all levels. 

Please bring a mat/blanket and any desired props.

We will be outdoors, so please dress in layers.
