Bulfinch's Mythology

Thomas Bullfinch helped popularize mythology with his three-volume collection of tales for an English-speaking audience: Stories of Gods and Heroes, The Age of Chivalry, and Legends of Charlemagne. This edition is comprised of the first volume, Stories of Gods and Heroes, which was originally published in 1855 and includes the stories of Greek and Roman mythology, derived from Virgil and Ovid, and Norse mythology, from Paul Henri Mallet's Northern Antiquities. Considered to be one of the most entertaining collections of mythology, Bullfinch's Mythology remains a popular and highly readable text on the subject matter.
